AT&T Honors Suppliers For Outstanding Performance

AT&T Inc. has announced the annual list of suppliers who have been recognized for outstanding performance and service to the company during the past year. The AT&T Supplier Recognition Program honors the company's suppliers for their work in six categories: creative cost-management solutions, customer service, product and service performance, supplier diversity, teamwork and technical innovations.

"Our supply chain plays a vital role in helping AT&T deliver the services, value and innovation that are necessary for our company to be successful in today's highly competitive, fast-changing marketplace," said Maureen Merkle, president of AT&T Procurement. "This year we are pleased to announce that 39 awards were given to suppliers who especially stood out in providing AT&T with better products, better services, better cost structures or better approaches that contributed to our success during the past year."

AT&T uses more than 5,000 companies as major suppliers for materials and services. As part of the annual supplier recognition program, the company took out a half-page ad in the June 5, 2007, edition of The Wall Street Journal to publicly thank the selected companies.
