CRM Company: SAVO CEO John Aiello Joins Adler Planetarium Board To Foster Math, Science Education
SAVO Group co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, John Aiello, has been named to the board of directors at the Adler Planetarium.
Aiello joins some of Chicago's one of the leading business, academic and civic professionals to help lead the oldest and premier planetarium. His appointment exhibits the SAVO Group's corporate commitment to promoting math and science education for children and teachers.
Chicago-based SAVO is the leading provider of sales enablement solutions and was founded by Aiello and SAVO co-founder and President Drew Larsen in 1999. SAVO provides an on-demand content, knowledge, and collaboration application that assists sales organizations in effectively communicating value and differentiation. Since then, SAVO has developed an impressive roster of clients including Morgan Stanley, AmerisourceBergen, SPSS, ADP, and FedEx/Kinko's, and has grown into one of the leaders of the city's tech community.
"We are excited for John to join our board and our mission," said Paul H. Knappenberger Jr., PhD, President of the Adler Planetarium. "We look forward to drawing on John's expertise as a technology leader and entrepreneur as we continue to focus on inspiring young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math."
For his part, Aiello said his service on the Adler board reflects a deep-seated commitment by SAVO to developing the next generation's math and science leaders.
"It is an honor to join this prestigious institution and its distinguished board members because of our shared goal of instilling in children, teachers and adults a passion for lifelong learning about math and science," Aiello said. "There is no other mission more critical to ensuring that our children and our society remain competitive in a global marketplace."
Prior to SAVO, Aiello was a brand manager for the Miller Brewing Company and a vice president of Sales and Marketing for Midwest homebuilder Sundance Homes. He began his career in education, serving as Director of Recruitment and Retention for St. Viator, a private high school in Arlington Heights, IL. He holds a BA from the University of Illinois, an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School, and is a frequent speaker for the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG), and several other academic, professional, and executive organizations.
