Voximplant Introduces Telephony Integration For Dialogflow; Enables AI-Powered IVR For Customer Service And Task Automation

The Voximplant Connector for Dialogflow makes it easy to build intelligent and customized interactive voice responses (IVR) that emulate natural conversations

Palo Alto, CA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Voximplant, the cloud communications platform built specifically for web and mobile app developers, today released the Voximplant Connector for Dialogflow. The new solution provides fast, simple, and seamless integration of Voximplant’s robust telephony platform directly into Dialogflow, a platform for building voice- and text-based conversational interfaces for websites, mobile apps, messaging platforms, IoT devices, and voice assistants such as the Google Assistant.

The Voximplant Connector for Dialogflow enables developers and businesses to easily connect any Voximplant application into a Dialogflow agent, which processes audio streams from calls (including conference calls). Because Voximplant is also integrated with Google’s WaveNet text-to-speech synthetic voice service, the connector makes it possible to develop truly next-generation customer service solutions, utilizing smart IVR that enables natural human-computer interactions while automating outbound calls and routine tasks.

Dialogflow’s built-in machine learning and natural language understanding capabilities support rich IVR interactions with users – such as being able to accurately recognize the intent and context of what a human is saying and in return, return the most useful response. Dialogflow also translates speech into text, handles slot filling to design conversation flows for certain parameters around an intent, and fulfills other key tasks that equip AI agents to carry out conversational interactions.

The connector can integrate legacy telephony systems with Dialogflow using phone numbers from more than 60 countries, and/or can link to contemporary systems using the SIP protocol. Voximplant’s flexible programming backend – enabling the development of myriad communication apps and services – also allows for ongoing conversation augmentations by utilizing external data from various web services like Salesforce. This backend offers a wealth of additional functionalities essential to business operations and customer service, such as call recording or conferencing.

“Dialogflow offers a tremendously powerful toolset for businesses to wield in delivering next-generation voice experiences for their customers,” said Alexey Aylarov, CEO, Voximplant. “From the rise of AI and smart IVR interactions that are convincingly human to the automation of routine call tasks, the future of call-based customer service promises to be very different from the status quo of today – and this integration with Dialogflow puts Voximplant’s technology at the forefront of this evolution.”
